Creation of Entreprises Iris, an industrial painting company, formerly a division of GAZELEC (gas and electricity distribution company).
1956
Iris becomes a family holding company under the leadership of Michel JANSSENS van der MAELEN.
1978
Creation of Belgian Business Services (BBS), a holding company for administrative management.
1994
Creation of Iris Cleaning Services with 20 clerks and 800 workers.
1995
Patrick JANSSENS van der MAELEN succeeds his father and takes over leadership.
1996
IRIS Cleaning Services achieves ISO 9001 certification.
2001
Partnership and co-creation of European Customer Services (ECS) in the cleaning industry.
2004
Establishment of Iris Greencare, landscaping.
2005
Expansion of services in Cleaning, with the acquisition of Alcyon.
2008
Iris Cleaning signs prestigious contract for European Commission, recruiting more than 750 workers. Acquisition of Active Cleaning.

Iris Group reaches 3,000 employees.
2011
Diversification of Cleaning in the Healthcare Sector with the Chirec Group.
2012
CSR certificate CO2 Performance Ladder level 3 for Industry Solutions.
2013
Iris Anticorrosion wins Maeslantkering (NL) contract

Iris Building launches its Handyman Services activity.
Iris Anticorrosion receives CO2 Performance Ladder level 4 certificate.

Establishment of Iris Facility.
2016
70th anniversary of the group Iris.
2017
Iris Cleaning Services opens an office in Visé (Liège).
2018
Iris Cleaning Services Lummen is moving to a new office.
2019
As part of a rebranding, the company name of Iris NV is changing to Iris Industry Solutions NV and Iris Cleaning Services NV to Iris Facility Solutions NV.
The group expands its services and acquires Technical Building Services, a family-owned company specializing in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems throughout Belgium.
TBS' services fit into Iris' Betterness concept.
2019
Go live of the new website, a new logo and a video in which the CEO, Patrick Janssens van der Maelen, explains our Betterness strategy on social media.
2020
The group diversifies into technical maintenance and acquires Technical Building Services, which operates in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) sector.
TBS installs and maintains HVAC equipment throughout Belgium and these services fit perfectly into the group's Betterness concept.

2022
Iris Industry Solutions is part, commissioned by RWS, of the A12 IJssel bridges renovation project.

Iris is awarded a bronze medal from ECOVADIS for her CSR achievements.

Geographic diversification of anti-corrosion activities in France and inauguration of the new building in Blacy, France.

Transformation of the Iris Group to better meet the needs of its customers in terms of expertise, quality and transparency.
Regrouping of 2 main Businesses: Iris Industry Solutions (Mr. Jeroen NEVELSTEEN has been appointed CEO) and Iris Facility Solutions (hard & soft services), under the Holding that will continue to be headed by Mr. PATRICK JANSSENS van der MAELEN - CEO & Managing Director.
