In an ever-changing world, Iris represents the image of a responsible company. Already since 2013, it has pioneered the voluntary publication of sustainability reports, well before it became a legal requirement. In 2022, Iris has already looked ahead to the Directive on Disclosure of Sustainability Information by Companies (CSRD) by incorporating certain standards of this new directive so that it can meet the required reporting requirements by 2025.
1. Early Commitment
Since 2013, Iris has not been idle in anticipation of mandatory regulations to take action. Her commitment to transparency and accountability has been abundantly clear for nearly a decade and has inspired other companies to follow her lead.
2. Dual Materiality Assessment
Iris transcends minimal legal requirements by deeply reflecting on her impact on both the environment and society. Her holistic approach allows her to gain a deeper understanding of her interactions with the world.
3. Stakeholder Matrix
Iris identifies critical trends through in-depth stakeholder analysis and optimizes value for its customers, shareholders and employees. These insights guide its sustainability efforts.
4. Progressive Approach
Iris takes a step-by-step approach to meeting the requirements of the CSRD, with a special focus on material topics such as "Corporate Behavior," "Climate Change" and "Own Employees." Iris has plans to gradually broaden its reporting area.
5. Next Steps
Iris is preparing to launch a merged report with both financial and non-financial data, is exploring external validation (with limited assurance), and is considering addressing additional sustainability themes.
Iris serves as an example of a responsible and transparent company. Her early involvement, progressive approach and forward-thinking vision regarding the CSRD make her a role model for other companies that want to excel by making a positive impact on society and the environment.
